Terreno Baldío

Zonas Oscuras
Javier Marín
Zonas Oscuras shows Marin’s bidimensional research. It includes painting and interventions on photographic processes, and on his own sculpture work. A plastic research initiated by Marin around construction and deconstruction, as well as solutions that, due to composition, force the artist to impose them on his practice’s support. A blank piece of paper, at the beginning of a creative project, is broken with a trace of graphite. The step from emptiness to construction, from blank to drawn lines, generates a dark zone. The constructive analysis of a tridimensional piece drives the artist to show moments of the process, transforming from images rescued through new interventions and arriving at these finished works. Under this principles, a new exhibition composed by six recently produced series that are in some ways opposite to his known work.

Terreno Baldío Arte is a space interested in the promotion of art, current cultural products and the diverse interactions these generate. With a list of unconventional proposals, the gallery develops artistic intervention projects in national and international spaces, through exhibitions, editorial projects, collaborations with institutions and international fairs.
